Shipping and shipment

Getting an order to your customer has two parts. Before the sale, you decide which delivery options customers can choose at checkout and what each one costs. After the order is paid, you book the parcel with a courier or your own driver, print the label and follow the delivery. This chapter covers both.

Start with How shipping works in EZsite to see which screen does what. Then work through the tasks in this order:

Delivery options and fees (what customers see at checkout)

  1. Add a shipping method and its fees: a flat fee, or rates by area and weight with free delivery above an amount.
  2. Let customers collect their order: offer self collection at checkout.
  3. Shipping boxes: your standard box sizes, used by some courier fee plugins.

Sending parcels (after the order is paid)

  1. Add a pickup point: the address couriers collect parcels from.
  2. Set your sender details: the Default Shipper Info Setting tab.
  3. Connect a courier service: EasyParcel, DHL eCommerce Malaysia, or your own driver.
  4. Create a shipment and print the label
  5. Track shipments and see the stock report

Good to know

  • Shipping methods and fees change your checkout as soon as you save them. Shipments, pickup points and logistic services are only used inside the admin; customers never see them.
  • If you do not book couriers through EZsite, you only need the first part. Ship the parcel your own way, then mark the order as shipped with the tracking number.
